Thanksgiving Day Prayers and Blessings
Thanksgiving day prayers are said at the beginning of the Thanksgiving meal. It is the giving of thanks for the bounty of food provided, the love and laughter of good friends, and the joyfulness of being with family that makes this day so meaningful.
"We can always find something to be thankful for, no matter what may be the burden of our wants, or the special subject of our petitions."
Prayers can be long and formal or a simple verse that is simply spoken from the heart. They can be solemn, lighthearted or even be funny Thanksgiving blessings if that's what works for you.
The main point is to give thanks in a way that feels right to you, your family and the guests at your table.
The Thanksgiving prayers that follow are a wonderful way to stop and reflect on all that you have, not only in material possessions, but of good relationships, your health, your freedom, and so much more.
