Someday
Once in a meadow, a long time ago, there lived a small bunny who could only hop slow. When all the young bunnies would race through the grass, this one little bunny would always be last.
So he spoke to his father because he wanted to know if the rest of his life he would always be slow? "Please tell me, father, will I ever be fast? For the rest of my life will I always be last?"
"Never give up, son." His father would say. "Try to be patient. You will make it someday. Just keep on believing and someday you'll see that when it's your time you'll be fast just like me."
The bunny listened well to the words of his dad. They helped him feel better when he began to feel sad. And whenever he ran he gave it his best trying hard not to compare himself to the rest.
As spring changed to summer the bunny did to grow. And soon he discovered he no longer was slow. That small little bunny who was last for so long had grown to a rabbit, steady and strong.
Now when they all gather to race in the grass nobody can catch him because he is too fast! And he always remembers what his father would say. "Never give up, son. You will make it someday."
