Morning Prayer:
Now Before I Run To Play
A morning prayer can be just as important and inspiring as prayers said at night. So many children are taught to kneel by the bed, all cozy in their pajamas, and recite a short prayer to the Lord.
But, this sweet blessing allows the child to thank the Lord for keeping him or her safe throughout the night, and then asks that He watch over them during the day as they head out to play.
Now Before I Run To Play
Now before I run to play
Let me not forget to pray
To God who kept me through the night
And waked me with the morning light.
Help me, Lord, to love Thee more
Than I have ever loved before,
In my work and in my play,
Be Thou with me through the day.
