So what exactly are magnetic poetry kits? These are words and short phrases that are magnetic strips which you can place on your fridge or any metal surface. Rearrange them to create inspiring poems, short rhymes, limericks, haiku's or even motivational sayings. They are also a fun and inventive way to help your children with sentence structure and grammar! Just be forewarned... these little magnetic words are addicting to play with!
My friend has two kits stuck on her fridge door (so that she has a huge inventory of words to use). Every time I go over there, I immediately gravitate to them and begin arranging the words into enlightening messages, funny sentences and short poems. They're great for getting your brain into a creative mode, especially if you're working on a project and are stuck for ideas.

Magnetic Poetry is a line of novelty products invented in 1993 by Dave Kapell. They feature small magnetic tiles printed with single words or fragments that can be adhered to a magnetic metal surface (typically a refrigerator door or file cabinet) and arranged to form phrases, sentences, or entire poems. These kits come in a variety of subjects such as the original word kit, motherhood, fatherhood, romance, animals, golf, and lots more. You can also pick them up in different languages. I've found them for French, Spanish, and German. There's even poetry kits made especially for kids!
