Inspirational Gifts

Many times I will come across some interesting and unique inspirational gifts that are perfect presents to give to family and friends on special occasions. In fact, I'm usually so taken with the item that I also get an extra one to keep for myself!
I like to look for items that are a bit different... something that I know they'd never purchase for themselves, but know they would appreciate receiving.

 | One item that a friend of mine has had for years is a set of magnetic poetry words and phrases stuck on the front of her fridge. It never fails that when I'm over at her house, I end up playing with these things, making fun sentences, haikus or inspiring sayings. They're great for prodding the mind in coming up with creative ideas and inspirational thoughts. Kids love them too and they're a great way to help them learn sentence structure. |
Another orginal item I've found is poetry stones. These come in kits and you mix up the concrete yourself, pour it into a mold and add whatever words you like to the top of them.
| As my husband and I are just beginning to turn our bland backyard into a nice little garden retreat, I plan on making several of these stepping stones, as well as decorative stones to place here and there among the plants.
