There are some wonderful poems about friends (and poems for friends) that I have enjoyed reading over the years. Many I have written down and kept in a special poems and quotes journal. I knew that this friendship poetry collection would be a wonderful thing to share with you.
Of course, this got me to thinking about all of my good friends, both past and present, and what they have meant to me over the years. So, I sat down and created a list of what "friendship means to me".
A Friend Is:
Someone whom you can share your inner-most thoughts and feelings with - and they understand.
Someone who accepts you for who you are and doesn't try to change you.
Someone who you can laugh with, cry with, complain to, joke with.
Someone you can share funny moments and major laughing fits with.
Someone who will sympathize and empathize with you in times of trouble and heartache.
Someone who will encourage and inspire you to do or be the best that you can, when you have doubts about yourself.
Someone you can count on never to betray you or the secrets that you've shared.
Someone who is always there for you, and let's you be you.
