If you fall, get back up

by Clara

I really like this quote by Confucius. I'm reminded that if I fall (or make a mistake), I need to pick myself back up and continue on, because if I stay down and give up, I'll never accomplish anything.

"Out greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." ... Confucius

Life is Like a Force

by emmette quendeh kwiyarhe
(Liberia(monrovia).)

Life is like a force applied on an object; in life, when you are not forceful, you will be disgraceful.

Meaning; You have to be strong in life and in time of difficulties so that life circumstances can not rebuke you and you become a failure to life. Never give up when success seems so far away and be a man of persistence.

Asian Proverbs: Desire

by Gordon
(Suffolk UK)

You can only eat off one plate and sit in one chair.

We tend to desire what we do not really need, this tends to result in a build up of wrong desire or intentions which eventually brings about more problems. It is only in giving that we receive, be careful what you ask for; you may get it.

WISDOM

by Aubrey
(Blantyre . Malawi)

He who knows not and knows not he knows not: he is a fool - shun him.

He who knows not and knows he knows not: he is simple - teach him.

He who knows and knows not he knows: he is asleep - wake him.

He who knows and knows he knows: he is wise - follow him.

Note From Rose Thanks for the submission Aubrey. This is a great proverb to remember. The origin of it is hard to track down, as it's been attributed as an Asian proverb, an Arabic proverb and a Persian proverb.
